It’s inevitable in difficult economic conditions that corporations shed jobs in order to survive. A business is like a ship, when facing trouble it has to discard everything that isn’t absolutely essential to it’s core operation and cast it “over-board’. No leader worth their salt enjoys laying people off, however, survival must be the priority in difficult times for the good of all stakeholders from investors to current and future employees.
Like everything in life, it isn’t so much about what you do but how you do it. Many corporations apply little intelligence or sensitivity to the process, it’s often conducted as a numbers game, with the inevitable loss of key talent. In the creative economy business ignores talent at a cost.
Sadly, when headcount reductions are poorly handled, talent walks. That creates medium to long-term pain in terms of increased cost and poor performance. Replacing talent with many years of experience and intellectual property is a number few organizations are willing to measure. It doesn’t take much to work out why. Then there is the inevitable impact on the performance of those surviving the process. Unfortunately, it’s a significant threat that few organizations appear to be taking seriously.

I was chatting to a friend of mine early on Saturday morning whilst waiting for the gym to open up. I hadn’t seen him for sometime, and he explained to me that he’d been made redundant. He continued to say that from the 23 people affected, he is the only one to get himself back into work. Not only that, he just happens to enjoy his new role much more than his last!
The difference, as with all things in life, is attitude. Where his colleagues remain in an unproductive cycle of doom, feeling victimized and sorry for themselves, my friend dusted himself down and got on with it. Of course, being made redundant isn’t pleasant (at least, not until you see it for what it truly is), but he chose not take the news personally; he stepped up and moved on for his greater good. That’s the attitude of a real leader. Life is 1% what happens to us and 99% how we deal with it.
I’ve been made redundant in my career too. Actually, that’s misleading, the role I was employed in was made redundant, I just occupied it at the time. What a difference having that perception could make to people. When you change the way you look at things the things you look at change. Redundancy isn’t personal, it isn’t that the person concerned isn’t good enough; it’s the job that is surplus to requirements.
Redundancy offers a wonderful opportunity for personal reinvention. It’s the ideal time to take stock and step forward into something you are passionate about, establishing and living your purpose.
Here’s something that may change your perception of redundancy. I know of at least 3 senior directors of large corporate companies who frown upon the CV of a person who hasn’t been made redundant. For them, it sets off warning signals that the person concerned doesn’t like change, and given that change is our constant companion in the creative age, that isn’t an attractive proposition.
If you’ve been made redundant, consider how you are reacting. Stop licking your wounds and start to think. You don’t have to follow the path you’ve always followed; the 21st century offers opportunities to earn a great living in so many diverse and varied ways, you just need to make yourself aware of them.
As a human being you have been given the incredible capabilities to reinvent yourself at any given point. Don’t waste them and your life. Step forward into your greatness. It is your birthright.

What constitutes an educated person? Many people would describe such a person as someone who has learnt a lot of information and is able to recall it at any given moment. That’s the premise upon which the education system is built, and yet it doesn’t constitute education, it’s nothing more than an exercise in memory utilisation that rarely evokes wisdom.
The word education is derived from the latin word ‘educo’, meaning to draw from within. You can know something without really understanding it. There is a quantum difference between learning and gathering information. The traditional education system remains largely gripped in a paradigm of ‘learning’ by reading, remembering and repeating. If a student does that well, he or she is decreed to have learnt. That may be true in some cases, however, for many it’s simply an exercise in memory gymnastics, not learning.
Learning is not gathering information, true learning takes place when you consciously entertain serophene an idea, you become emotionally involved with that idea, you act on the idea and improve the results

The performance gap in life is truly between what we know and what we do. Some of the brightest intellects can be found sitting on park benches at night drinking themselves into oblivion. Some might say those people are stupid, that isn’t true, some of these people have been awarded with the highest academic awards, what they lack is awareness. We were taught the lesson over two thousand years ago when Christ said ‘by their fruits you will know them’. A persons results will always reflect their current level of conscious awareness.
So an educated person isn’t someone gifted in retaining information, it is someone who is willing to trade their most cherished beliefs for a new idea when one comes along. How are you placed in that equation? How open are you to new ideas? Your answer to that question will determine your success in the creative age. It’s the quality of your thinking that determines your results. If your thinking is as it was only a few months ago, you should be concerned. bruce almighty divx online

Like it or not, the majority of western civilisation is mass- manipulated by a toxic media engine hell bent on the portrayal of a world submerged in lack, limitation, poverty, hate, violence and crime, not because it is an accurate picture of our world, but because it sells.
You may not think watching the news, listening to the radio, or reading your ‘Daily Toxic’ has any impact on you. You are wrong. Whatever information dominates your consciousness will impact you in your health at a cellular level and your results at the behavioural level. Thoughts cause feelings, feelings create actions, actions create results.
Just think about what’s going on around you. You can see the impact of mass consciousness across the world. So many people are currently gripped by fear, filled with anxiety and worry, fed from constant exposure to the often irresponsible reporting of the media engine. Incredibly, the media aren’t really at fault, they are simply feeding a hunger. Sadly, what the masses hunger for is cacogenic.
Destructive emotions such as fear, anger, anxiety, hate, worry have two fundamental deliverables. They are either expressed as actions and behaviours, causing a negative and detrimental impact on results in every aspect of life, or they are impressed superman returns divx

Once again I urge you to become aware of your thoughts and what is shaping them. Lose the mass programmed addiction to the toxicity of the media, it is not an accurate portrayal of our world, and you will not suffer from removing yourself from it, despite what your programmed mind might tell you.

Millions of people in the Western world are being subtly poisoned to the detriment of health and results, yet few are aware of it.
The negative impact of toxic substances on our bodies is widely known. Whether it’s narcotics, alcohol, smoking, the pollution of our environment, or the chemicals in food that are slowly poisoning the human race in the name of profit, the effects can be seen in hospital wards across the world. It’s the universal principal that Emerson referred to as the law of laws, the law of cause and effect.
A smoker knows that toxins drawn into the lungs eventually kill, yet the vast majority of people never consider the impact of what they draw into their minds lipitor q10 and co . What you think about, you become, and if the truth be told, many people rarely think inductively, we are programmed to think deductively
– allowing the events of the outside world to shape our thoughts.

I urge you to consider this very deeply. Consider the impact on of the information you expose your consciousness to every day. How much of the media is shaping your thinking? You may not be conscious
of the effects, until now. If you want to improve the results in some aspect of life, you must consider the quality of your thoughts. Contemplate the words of Buddha when he said “Be vigilant; guard your mind against negative thoughts’. Not only will it improve your results, it could save your life. prilosec tinnitus

The vast majority of people in our world are currently gripped by fear over the so-called global economic meltdown. In the economic crises of the 1930s more millionaires were created than any other period in American history.

you ever considered what separates the successful from the mediocre? Why do certain people create phenomenal results in so-called downturns? What separates the leaders from the followers? You now have the opportunity to find out.
Every programme and seminar in the personal development field focuses exclusively on the process of setting goals. Goals are an essential step for success, but only if they are worthy and aligned with purpose.

Establishing worthy goals in life is the third step of personal evolution. Unless your goals underpin a compelling vision, built on a foundation of established purpose, they cannot offer meaning and heart. James Allen said ‘until thought is linked with purpose there can be no intelligence accomplishment’.
On Saturday November 22nd, I’ll be joined by two of the worlds’ leading teachers in the field of personal development, Paul Martinelli and Roddy Galbraith, in a highly interactive and powerful personal development seminar in London. What’s more, for one time only, this seminar is being offered for FREE. Yes, that’s right, a full days teaching and coaching from three of the highest paid and respected authorities in the field of personal development for FREE.
In this challenging, thought-provoking and mind-expanding day you will learn:
- What prevents you from achieving the results you desire?
- The process of establishing your life’s purpose
- How to build a compelling vision and why it is essential for success
- Establish meaningful goals derived from purpose and vision
- How to overcome the hidden self-saboteur that is the cancer of success
- How to lead change through the 4 levels of thought
- The map of success through the 7 levels of awareness
- How to ensure your learning becomes a way of being
Be warned, this is an interactive seminar, it demands focus, commitment and the highest levels of personal excellence. Keep in mind the words of James Allen, he said ‘people are always striving to improve circumstances, but never willing to improve themselves, they therefore remain bound’.

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters to what lies within us”. Those words of Ralph Waldo Emerson provide such depth of wisdom , yet it’s so easy to read the quote without understanding the real power within the message. futurama bender s game movie
What did Emerson mean?
In our everyday language we talk about making decisions from the ‘heart’. For example, in business and politics leaders talk of winning ‘hearts and minds’. How many times in life have you been faced with making a decision between the ‘heart’ and ‘head’? Virtually every love song talks about someone breaking the ‘heart’, and Proverbs state that ‘as a man thinketh in his heart so is he’.
As the word ‘heart’ is referenced so often in so many different ways, it’s meaning really should be given some consideration, yet few of us give any thought to it, presumably assuming it references the physical organ. When you stop to think about it, it’s a ridiculous assumption, our physical heart clearly doesn’t possess the ability to conduct or contain thought, so what is the ‘heart’ of the matter?
The ‘heart’ that is reference is the most powerful part of the human personality – the subconscious mind, and this is what Emerson was referencing. It was the Ancient Greeks that called the subconscious ‘the heart of hearts’. So the conflict ‘between head and heart’ is an age-old reference to the conflict between our conscious and subconscious mind, the intellect and the emotional/spiritual centre of the personality. Many people are unaware that whilst the mind is one it has two very distinct and separate operations within it.
Success in any undertaking, comes from having both operative elements of the mind working in harmony, and anyone looking to improve results for themselves or through others must give this subject worthy study and consideration.
I’ll be sharing more insight into this subject very soon….

The quality of a persons’ life will always be in direct proportion to the nature and quality of the questions he or she is willing to ask of themselves. Sadly, few people do so, we’re not raised to do it by the authority figures in our lives, or the teaching methods found in our traditional educational system.
The most essential question of all to answer is that of establishing purpose. It took me 32 years to find my purpose, and I consider myself fortunate as many people go through life without ever knowing their purpose.
Leaders live on purpose. Everyone is a leader, it just depends to what extent they are prepared or capable of living like one. Without clarifying purpose, how can anyone establish what success should look like? How can we expect to inspire others to find theirs? Everyone has a purpose, our challenge is becoming aware of it. The two most important days in your life are the day you were born and the day you understand why you were born. It’s a big question to pose to ourselves, hence why most people avoid doing so, but just stop and think for a moment….. what are the implications of not asking the question?
I can only reflect on my own experience, and I know that for me it would mean settling for a life of mediocrity. That is exactly how I’d describe my adult life before finding purpose. I was relatively successful, I had a lovely home, my beautiful wife, and a six-figure income, yet something significant was missing from inside of me
download wicker park free
that prevented me from being fulfilled. I lacked the necessary self- awareness at this point in my life to ask those essential questions that would unlock the answer from within me. That situation was the cause of the problem, the effect manifested itself in my life through the destructive habits of weekend alcoholic binges and a dependency on nicotine.
Purpose allows you to set your intention for everything you do. Only when purpose is established can a compelling vision be created, one that can then be underpinned by meaningful goals. James Allen put it so well when he said “until thought is linked with purpose there can be no intelligence accomplishment”.
Purpose is the foundation of success, the very first step of the journey. I think there is only one way to succeed: do what you can do the best and just do it. Search your talents until you find your passion. What cannot be relied upon is the hope that it finds you first. lortabs depakote er
Finding purpose is not easy, it demands serious thought of a person, a skill many of us are not practised in. However, the rewards are exponential. The modern economy provides a wealth of opportunity to earn a very good living doing what you love, do not be fooled by industrial age thinking that decrees that you can’t live your purpose and earn great money – the truth is you can and, if you chose to explore a little, you’ll find that some people already do.
So how do you begin the process of establishing purpose? Answer the following questions:
· What in my current day to day activities do I love doing?
· What has meaning and heart for me?
·
What subjects am I passionate about?
· What do I feel compelled to change in the world?
You may find you have to keep coming back to those questions, that’s to be expected, they’re making you think. Once you’ve answered them and you’ve established what it is that you’re passionate about, ask friends and colleagues the following questions:
· What am I doing when I’m at my best?
· What do you consider me to be world class at?
download shadow hours online all or nothing download free free intolerable cruelty movie download
It is important to calibrate that your talent and passion mix, some people are very passionate about a subject they are just not talented in – think of the opening rounds of the X Factor or American Idol!
Purpose often lies dormant in our passions, and our passions tend to manifest in our talents. Be willing to explore who you are and prepare to be both surprised and delighted at what you find.

‘Men are anxious to improve their circumstances, but are unwilling to improve themselves; they therefore remain bound.’ Those telling words are as applicable today as they were when James Allen wrote them back in 1903.
It is strange fact that many people will invest in virtually anything else other than improving themselves. It’s even more perplexing when you consider that a person is the single common denominator in every result in life. around the world in 80 days free
I’m deeply honoured to be able to work with leaders in business, many of whom have studied MBA’s at business schools, yet very few have ever studied themselves in order to build the necessary personal leadership qualities and emotional intelligence that form core principles of successful leadership.
The fact is many people go through life without ever wanting or feeling the need to improve themselves in terms of personal development. One of the main reasons for this is the power of nurturing and environment on a persons’ thinking and behaviour. Our parents and teachers couldn’t offer us something they’d never been taught, the ‘education’ system, despite all of the wonderful people that work in it, is mainly an exercise in data memorisation rather than essential life skills, and the adult ‘education’ establishments from business schools to the media rarely touch the subject of self-learning.
There are still people in organisations today that believe the sole responsibility for their development is with their employers. Any business of value will, of course, look to develop its’ talent, however, this is no longer the industrial age, the job for life is confined to the museum and accordingly employees must now take responsibility for their own development.
We truly are creatures of habit. It is no exaggeration that many of us live in a prison, one without guards, chains or locks. This ‘prison’ is called ‘the comfort zone’. A person in the comfort zone (and we’ve all been there) resists change and prefers to keep things as they are, unaware of their ignorance to one of the most fundamental and dynamic laws of life – create or disintegrate.
hydrea side effects
Inertia does not exist in nature, change is constant. Consider plant life, it is either growing or dying, there isn’t a period of stagnation at any point in the lifecycle. The very same principle applies to you. As the great German philosopher Goethe once said: ‘Nature knows no pause in progress and development, and attaches her curse on all inaction’
In a world of constant change, the speed of which is increasing year and year, any person not moving in one direction is, without exception, going in the opposite direction.
The comfort zone is, in fact, far from comfortable, it just feels like it is. The comfort zone is the prison of habit, an environment of decay. To differing degrees, we are all controlled by a multitude of habits that have formed in our minds from our life experiences, a fact many people are unaware of. This is commonly called conditioning or paradigms.
There is a part of the personality that learns behaviour patterns, reactions to certain circumstances, and then it replicates them to free a person from having to consciously think about everything single thing they do.
This is incredibly useful for everyday essential activity such as getting dressed, brushing teeth, etc., however, as this programming shapes the majority of a persons’ actions and behaviours (over 90% of the average persons’ behaviour is unconscious- i.e. the person is consciously unaware of doing it) the danger is when habitual behaviour is being produced that is no longer helping the individual. Whilst the subconscious is the most powerful part of the personality, it does not have the ability to decipher when any given action it has learnt is appropriate to any given situation.
Where are you on the great divide of create or disintegrate?
Consider the following questions, and answer them honestly:
- In the last year, what have you done that initially made you uncomfortable?
- What are you doing today that you weren’t doing this time last year?
- What are you doing in order to improve your understanding of who you are and what it is that you really want?
- How much of your income do you willingly invest in improving yourself?
Your answers should provide an interesting insight into what is actually controlling your life – you, or the multitude of habits called ‘the comfort zone’. If you’ve established it’s the latter, you’ve already raised your level of awareness, now it should be time for considered action.
As the ancient Chinese philosopher, Lao-tzu, taught us in the Tao Te Ching, ‘a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.’

Many of you may be familiar with the virtual reality of second life, the online virtual world where an individual can live an alternative life in the safety of cyber-space, creating many diverse and intriguing experiences whilst interacting with the pseudo-personalities of thousands of other people.
The popularity of this phenomena offers an uncomfortable truth, and its creators appear to have an acute understanding of the primary challenge facing most of the global population. Whilst I’m sure a certain percentage of patrons using Second Life do so as an amusing pastime, I wonder how many are finding their ‘fix’ of escapism , avoiding the reality of their first life, the real one.
The disturbing truth is that many Second Life users will expend far more time thinking and planning the ideal life for their cyber – personality than they’d ever consider for their real existence. The person who brought Second Life into my awareness (I’m more ‘technonotice’ than a technophobe) excitedly told me “just imagine if you could do this kind of thing in real life”. And there’s the point, you can, and if you make it your business to study success, you’ll find ,without exception, that is exactly the habit of those who achieve extraordinary results in the real world.
Consider the real currency of life for one moment. The only asset of any value that we inexorably spend and cannot earn is time. How tragic it is that many people spend the majority of this precious commodity in jobs/relationships/activities that have little or no meaning to them. Whilst tragic, it is a symptom of nurture, the way we’ve been raised and conditioned to operate. The authority figures in our lives (parents, teachers, leaders) often had the best intentions, yet they too were raised in a manner ignorant to self- knowledge and the science of success.
The traditional educational system hardly addresses the issue. Self-leadership is not a subject found on a curriculum that is predominantly unfit for purpose, structured as nothing more than an exercise in the memorisation of data, most of which has little relevance to success in life and business. It’s little wonder why we have universities full of people purposely extending their academic years whilst waiting for that light bulb moment that establishes purpose and direction. Establishing purpose takes introspection and thought, the latter being the highest function of which the human being is capable and a subject despicably missing from traditional and business education. The quality of a person’s life is always in direct proportion to the quality of intelligent questions they ask themselves.
star wars the clone wars dvd download Second Life offers a virtual fix of escapism, a disturbingly popular medium for living ‘life’ to the full for those people lacking the necessary awareness to create what they want in reality. If those people replicated the same level of enthusiasm for success in the real world as they do for this pseudo-existence, the creators of Second Life would be plying their skills elsewhere.
